Fairview Park
Fairview Park, located at 4th Avenue and West Market Street in Bethlehem is one of our venues for Movies, Games & More. The North by Northwest Neighborhood Initiative has held 3 seasons of Movies Games & More at this park with a total of a dozen films so far.
The Initiative has also installed a Pan/Tilt/Zoom wireless camera that is monitored and recorded 24/7 by the Bethlehem Police Department. Other similar cameras in Bethlehem have been a factor in arrests. The Initiative has also funded 2 bike racks and a picnic table for Fairview Park. Every spring there is a cleanup at the park around Earth Day and regular graffiti removal in the area. Longer term plans call for more substantial park improvements as funding is identified.
Movies, Games & More has had partners at Fairview events including the St. Luke’s Hospital Mobile Center, the Bethlehem Health Department, CopsNKids reading program, Spirithoops, and Dr. Gary DeLeo from Lehigh University for our Mars Attacks Showing. The movie project would not be possible without the Equipment Sponsors highlighted on the sidebar to the right nor would the project be able to sustain itself without help from our Event Sponsors and Friends. Please take a minute to explore those links and do some business with our friends and partners.
The park used to be the site of Fairview Elementary School years ago.
The Fairview Blockwatch runs the Snack Shack for the Fairview Park Movies, Games & More Events. Come early and bring your appetite for hot dogs, soda/water and fresh popped delicious popcorn. Funds raised at the Snack Shack help support the mission of the Fairview Blockwatch.

[...] It looks like the flying saucer will be back and we should have Army Reserve protection as well. The lovely ladies from the Martian Tourism Bureau will also be back. Should be great fun. Leave the kids home and come have some dinner downtown and get a spot early as this was very well attended at Fairview Park. [...]
