Rose Garden
The Rose Garden at 8th Avenue between W. Union Blvd and W. Broad Steets is a great venue for Movies, Games & More. It has bathrooms! It also has bench seating so you don’t have to bring a chair. We added the Rose Garden in Season 2 with our most successful event being Mamma Mia. Although the weather was iffy, we had a good crowd who enjoyed the movie. We may show Mamma Mia somewhere around town again sometime as there were many who were not able to make it that night and many more that would see it again and again.
The Nitschmann Middle School Cheerleaders did a great job with the snack shack and we look forward to working with them again. Lots of great fresh home baked goods as well as the “Hot Buttery Popcorn”, hot dogs, soda/water etc. Good job girls and Go Lions!
This year we plan to show Imagine That, 9 and Coraline at the Rose Garden so I think there is something for everyone in that. We will probably have something in the fall for Halloween but let’s wait until August to think about October.
